Raising Musical Children

Raising Musical Children (RMC) was initiated in January 2006 through a grant from the Lipscomb Family Foundation. Early childhood centers that serve children from low income families or children with special needs, can apply to RMC for financial assistance to provide a weekly music program in their center.

Our goal is to bring A Musical Beginning That Will Last a Lifetime to as many preschool age children as possible without letting finances interfere. Many working parents don’t have the time or the finances for their child to attend after school music classes, so we bring music to the daycares. In addition, we provide a monthly newsletter for teachers and parents that includes songs, activities and developmental information.

Since it's inception, Raising Musical Children has served children in the following locations:
  • Special Needs School of Gwinnett
  • Lillian Webb Sheltering Arms Childcare Center, Lawrenceville, GA
